OAHSN are new silver sponsors

The Centre for Sustainable Healthcare is pleased to announce that The Oxford Academic Health Science Network (OAHSN) has come on board as a silver sponsor.

The OAHSN is a new initiative bringing together NHS organisations, the Universities and an increasing number of local authorities, industry and third sector partners across Bedfordshire, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Milton Keynes and Oxfordshire.  The Oxford AHSN was designated in May 2013 together with 14 others covering the rest of England with a clear focus on innovation, health and wealth. This focus is reflected in its key areas of activity:

  • Meeting the needs of patients and the local populations, working with commissioners and public health bodies, and promoting health equality and best practice
  • Speeding up adoption of innovations into practice to improve clinical outcomes and patient experience
  • Building a culture of partnership and collaboration
  • Creating wealth through co–development, testing evaluation and early adoption and spread of new products and services

The Oxford AHSN’s vision is driven through the development of clinical networks, strong partnerships with Health Education Thames Valley, the National Institute for Healthcare Research and its developing themes including sustainability and integration, patient and public engagement and population healthcare. The Conference’s focus on, for example, diabetes, transformation and improved models of care, fit perfectly with the objectives of the Oxford AHSN.
