The world's leading conference on sustainable healthcare

About the Organisers

The Centre for Sustainable Healthcare

Working mainly in the UK since 2008, the
Centre for Sustainable Healthcare has developed a range of projects to green healthcare concentrating on three areas: engagement, knowledge sharing and transformation. We work with healthcare professionals and managers, industry, patients and researchers to develop their understanding of the connections between health and environment and the importance and benefits of putting sustainable practices at the heart of healthcare.

We have pioneered the Sustainable Clinical Specialties programmes including
Green Nephrology, and we have created engagement projects such as NHS Forest and Carbon Addict.

Health Care without Harm

Health Care Without Harm is an international coalition of hospitals and health care systems, medical professionals, community groups, health-affected constituencies, labour unions, environmental and environmental health organisations and religious groups. It is a non-profit organisation that promotes its vision of a health care sector that does no harm, and instead promotes the health of people and the environment.

To that end, Health Care Without Harm is working to implement ecologically sound and healthy alternatives to health care practices that pollute the environment and contribute to disease. The organisation is working to transform the health care sector worldwide, without compromising patient safety or care, so that it is ecologically sustainable and no longer a source of harm to public health and the environment.
